The Center for Nonprofit Excellence recognized the difficulties faced by nonprofit organizations in sourcing and seating new board members, as well as the abundance of quality candidates eager to serve. They aimed to provide a single solution to match these two groups effectively.

SOLUTION & OUTCOME

GAP developed a new web application, BoardMatch, tailored to the needs of nonprofits and potential board members. This application accommodates individuals seeking board positions, nonprofits looking for board members, and corporations wishing to sponsor candidates. It features an automatic matching algorithm and manual browsing options, ensuring user privacy. BoardMatch has simplified the board member selection process for hundreds of organizations and nearly a thousand individuals​​.
